Welcome to Hoop Dreams
Hoop Dreams is Saint John’s most exciting 3 on 3 youth basketball tournament open to all players ages 8 – 18 in support of the Children’s Wish Foundation and promoting an active healthy lifestyle for today’s youth. Our slogan “Our Kids Helping Your Kids” speaks volumes and plants the seed for young philanthropists to blossom into our generous leaders of tomorrow. Together, we can change the lives of many kids facing life threatening illnesses and give them the chance to do something they’ve always dreamed of. Hoop Dreams is our dream, to do our part and make that wish a reality for these brave boys and girls all over the world.

The organization that it took to pull off what we saw yesterday at Hoop Dreams 3 on 3 was mind boggling. You did a fantastic job and we just wanted you to know that See you next year!-Nancy Wilson
We brought three teams to the Hoop Dreams event, but only two coaches and no parents. As a result, the things we appreciated the most were the following: 1. Everything started on time 2. There were other things to do Staying on schedule is rare for any kind of sporting event. In this case, it went like clockwork, which meant there was no standing around waiting or uncertainty about where we were to be. In addition, the bouncy castle, playground, and canteen enabled us to keep the players busy between games. Both the schedule and activities were important in helping us to structure the players' day, so that they always had something to do and didn't have idle time to run around and get in trouble or sit bored.-Chris & Lynda Smith (Coaches)
I have been involved in both organizing and being a parent of a player in tournaments and I have seen many organized and disorganized events.I fully expected a few hiccups the day of Hoop Dreams just because games can run over putting the schedule off a bit, etc but this was by far one of the most organized events that I have ever been a part of or been to. The positive feedback from both the players and the spectators was wonderful and everyone understood the cause that they were playing for. I look forward to next year and hope that I will be asked to volunteer again. I am very proud to say that my 2 boys and I were a part of this event as I am sure, many other families feel the same. Picking the Children's Wish Foundation as the beneficiaries, was near and dear to all of us basketball parents.-Charmaine Logan-Gilchrist (Volunteer)
I heard several people comment on how impressed they were with how on-schedule the games were. A few guys I know had previous experience with 3v3 tourneys and said this was the best job they'd seen. There was lots of motivation for people keeping on schedule. Use this as a selling point next year. People's time is precious and they'll appreciate knowing you have a system for managing the schedule effectively. Please continue to do this. Someone with the passion that you have for the sport and this event is a rare thing. Everyone we talked to about the event said they were coming back and would be encouraging others to do the same.-Eric Sabean (Parent of a Player)
